ALPACAS OF EL DORADO

Alpacas of El Dorado, named for the county they live, asked BreedWorks to create an identity that evoked the western themes that their name conjured. In addition to the western reference, the client was looking for a logo that presented a friendly, outgoing image. Yet, though  the logo was to signal that the ranchers were fun-loving it must say they were unquestionably professional. The typography, reminiscent of that found on an old-time merchant's sign, or that etched on a saddle, sets the tone for the logo. The geometric border, referencing the old woven blankets of that time, and the overlapping feathers push the logo solidly into the western era. The bold color palette provide a slightly contemporary feel, and speak to the fact that the owners are no fuss and muss people. They run a business of integrity and straightforward solid business practices.
