How do I get started?
Call us at 607-432-6860 to discuss your ideas. Even if your ideas
are vague as to what you need, we can talk with you to determine
what your first steps should be. There is never a charge to discuss
your ideas.
How long will it take to complete my project?
While no two jobs are alike, we generally turn things around within
60 days. Many factors effect a timeframe, such as your availability
and response time as well as our current workload. But at the start
of each project we work with you to establish a schedule so each
party knows what to expect.
How much will my project cost?
There are numerous variables effecting the price of a job, but basically
it comes down to time and materials. The more time/material, the
more your job will cost. We have base prices for certain types of
jobs, which we can discuss with you when you call. But as an example,
for a basic web site, we typically average around $3500-$5,000.
Do I need to know how to program in order to update my website?
No. There are several options open to you. 1. We can do it for
you. 2. We can create an application to help you with no programming
on your end. or 3. We can train you how to do it yourself and
you can call us for assistance.
Who hosts the sites that we build?
We offer turnkey hosting. We'll act as a middleman for hosting
companies, which have proven fast, secure and reliable for us in
the past. We offer this to you at no mark up. And for a small fee
we can continue to maintain the site, to ensure it continues to
function as effectively as possible.
Can you give a brief overview of the process?
It varies job to job, we first define the scope of the project;
we then propose solutions; you make
a selection; we develop it; then test it; and finally deploy it.
Afterward, if desired, we will maintain your site.
What is a data driven website?
This is a web site designed and built in a way that stores the
sites content on various databases. When the site page is visited,
that particular pages content is dynamically built by culling the
appropriate data from the various databases. This type of site allows
for easier updating, more effective storage of client information
and can be used to create personalized and customized web pages
based on individual user profiles.
I don't live near you. Will I have to come there to begin the
project?
No. We can work remotely. Most aspects of projects can be handled
through email, web postings and snail mail. The only requirement
is your access to the Internet. Also, in an effort to facilitate
the process, we provide a secure development site for each client.
This password-protected site allows the client to track the progress
of their project and view
the designs as we post them.
I already have a website. Why would I need your services?
Almost anyone can build and launch a site, but not everyone has
skill to do it effectively. If you have a site we can do diagnostic
analysis to determine if your site is hitting your market effectively
and advise you on ways to improve it. This goes for print and identity
design as well. We'll breathe new life into old logos, improve a
marketing piece's effectiveness or simply update items to reflect
market changes.
I only have a small farm. Why do I need a web site?
Web sites are great equalizers. If you're a small breeder, you probably
can't afford to travel to clients, produce volumes of marketing
materials or have franchises of your ranch world-wide. You're automatically
at a competitive disadvantage to large breeders who can do all these
things. With a web site you're not limited to those clients who
can travel to you. But instead, you are accessible to anyone and
everyone who visits the web. A web site is not just an electronic
calling card or billboard, but the strongest marketing and sales
tool ever developed.
